Back office support
for senior centers

Bookkeeping, HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance for senior centers. If your center is becoming independent from Sound Generations, we have walked other centers through that transition and can do the same for yours.

Becoming independent? We handle the transition

One team that knows the sequence, the deadlines, and the vendors, so nothing falls through the cracks on cutover day.

Step 1

Nonprofit status and legal setup

Reactivate or confirm your 501(c)(3), line up a fiscal sponsor as a bridge if needed, and update Secretary of State, Department of Revenue, L&I, and city accounts.

Step 2

Payroll on your own account

Set up payroll, state tax and L&I authorizations, and migrate employees before your cutover date with no missed paychecks.

Step 3

Benefits and HR policies

Quote health, vision, and EAP options (including ICHRA models), run open enrollment, and rewrite your handbook and PTO policies for an independent employer.

Step 4

Books, banking, and budgets

Move to your own QuickBooks (including the nonprofit discounted subscription), reconnect bank and card feeds, catch up historical entries, and build your first independent budget.

Step 5

Front desk, thrift store, and payments

Replace shared systems with your own point-of-sale and payment processing, then map donation and event revenue into clean accounts.

Step 6

Your own brand and website

A fresh identity and a website you control, ready for the day you stand on your own.
