Technology, Automation & AI

Modern Tech Stack.
AI-Powered Automation.
Built for Small Business.

Launch Industries is a Seattle, Washington technology consultancy for small and mid-sized businesses. We help operators replace busywork with automation, integrate the tools they already pay for, and bring AI assistants like Claude into the daily workflow, safely.

We're vendor-neutral, implementation-focused, and ship in days, not quarters. From a one-off Zapier flow to a full digital transformation, we meet you where you are and leave you with a stack your team will actually use.

Modality 02 / Business Apps

The Apps We Set Up, Configure & Integrate

We're hands-on with the platforms below. If you're on one of these, we can plug in. If you're shopping, we'll recommend the right fit, no commissions, no preferred-vendor games.

…plus dozens more. We've shipped integrations with Ramp, Brex, Justworks, Rippling, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Monday, Toast, Clover, Klaviyo, Framer, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, Linear, and more.

Modality 03 / Integration Glue

When Apps Need to Talk to Each Other

No app does everything. We use these three platforms to wire your tools together, automate the hand-offs between them, and keep data flowing where it needs to go.

Not sure which to pick? We'll recommend the right one based on your workflow complexity, data sensitivity, and budget. Most clients start on Zapier, graduate selected workflows to Make, and only self-host n8n when there's a real reason.

What Our Technology Service Covers

Nine focus areas, one team. Pick the engagement that fits, or combine them into a full transformation.

Software Selection

We identify the right tools for your workflow, budget, and team size. No more buying software that doesn't fit, or paying for seats you never use.

Workflow Automation

Connect your apps and automate the repetitive work using Zapier, Make, n8n, and native integrations. Hours back every week.

System Integrations

QuickBooks, Gusto, Slack, ClickUp, your CRM, and your website, all connected and talking to each other in real time.

Digital Transformation

Move from spreadsheets, sticky notes, and manual processes to streamlined, scalable, audit-friendly digital systems.

Technology Audits

A full review of your current tech stack: what's working, what's redundant, what's overpriced, and what's missing.

Training & Onboarding

Your team trained on new tools so adoption actually sticks. No more shelfware, no more 'we tried that once.'

AI Integration

Bring AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT into your daily workflow, with guardrails for client data and brand voice.

Custom Internal Tools

When off-the-shelf software falls short, we build lightweight internal tools (forms, dashboards, mini apps) tailored to your operation.

Data & Reporting

Centralize numbers from every system into clean dashboards that answer the questions your leadership team actually asks.

How We Approach Technology Projects

A four-step engagement that's transparent at every stage, with deliverables you can hold us to.

01

Discovery & Audit

We map every tool you currently pay for, every workflow that lives in someone's head, and every place data falls between the cracks. You'll get a written inventory and a prioritized list of fixes within two weeks.

02

Design & Recommend

We design the future-state stack: which tools to keep, which to replace, what to automate, and what to integrate. You see the plan before any subscriptions get touched.

03

Build & Integrate

We set up new tools, migrate data, wire up integrations, build automations, and (when needed) write custom code. You stay in the loop without being in the weeds.

04

Train & Support

We document every workflow, train your team live, and stay on retainer for the inevitable 'why did it do that?' questions. Adoption is the goal, not deployment.

Common Automation Use Cases

Where small and mid-sized businesses tend to find the biggest wins with technology, by department and function.

Bookkeeping & Finance

QuickBooks Online configured properly, Bill.com for AP, automated bank feeds, monthly close checklists, and dashboards that show cash position in real time.

Sales & CRM

Nutshell, HubSpot, or Pipedrive set up with the right pipeline stages, automated lead capture from your website, Calendly bookings that auto-create deals, and weekly forecasting reports.

HR, Payroll & Onboarding

Gusto for payroll, BambooHR or Rippling for HRIS, automated I-9 collection, e-signed offer letters, and a new-hire workflow that runs itself from offer to first paycheck.

Customer Communication

Branded transactional email via Resend, SMS reminders via Twilio, AI-assisted inbox triage, and a unified inbox that stops important messages from getting lost.

Internal Collaboration

Slack channels structured by function, ClickUp for project management, Miro for visual workshops, and Notion or Google Drive for documentation that's actually findable.

Marketing & Outreach

Mailchimp, Beehiiv, or Resend for newsletters, scheduled social posting, multilingual outreach campaigns, and tracking that ties campaign spend to closed revenue.

AI-Powered Operations

Claude in your workflows for drafting, summarizing, and research. Custom AI agents for inbox triage, document parsing, and reporting. Guardrails for client data and tone of voice.

Reporting & Dashboards

Numbers from accounting, CRM, payroll, and ops pulled into one place. Looker Studio, Notion dashboards, or a simple Sheet, whichever your team will actually open.

Industries We Know Inside Out

Vertical-specific technology choices, edge cases, and compliance considerations we've already learned the hard way.

Cannabis Operators

METRC-aware reporting, Treez and Dutchie integrations, banking workarounds, and compliance-friendly automation that holds up under a state audit.

Food & Beverage

POS-to-accounting integrations (Square, Toast, Clover), inventory tracking, recipe costing, and online ordering setups that don't double-charge customers.

Professional Services

Time tracking, project profitability, retainer billing, proposal automation, and CRM workflows tuned for consultants, agencies, and B2B service shops.

Commissary Kitchens

Tenant onboarding, hourly booking systems, billing automation, and shared-asset scheduling for shared-use food production facilities.

What We Replace, And With What

A few before-and-after patterns we see across our client base. Sound familiar? Most of these have a same-week fix.

Mailchimp + manual list cleanup

Resend + tagged segments + automation, with better deliverability and a developer-grade API.

Printed forms + filing cabinets

Jotform or Google Forms feeding Airtable, with a searchable history and zero re-keying.

Email chains for client requests

ClickUp or Linear forms with auto-assigned owners, due dates, and visibility for the whole team.

Conference-room whiteboards

Miro boards that everyone can co-edit, screenshot, and revisit a month later.

Manual SMS appointment reminders

Twilio-powered reminder flows triggered by Calendly or your CRM, with reply-to-confirm.

Junior staff drafting routine documents

Claude-assisted drafting with senior review, freeing up hours for higher-value work.

Security & Compliance, Built In

Every integration we build follows least-privilege access. Credentials live in vaults (1Password Business, Doppler, or your existing secrets manager), not in shared docs or someone's password notebook. SSO and two-factor are enabled wherever the vendor supports them.

For workflows touching protected health information, we use BAA-eligible vendors (Google Workspace BAA, Supabase HIPAA, Twilio HIPAA) and design retention policies up front. For cannabis operators, we keep METRC reporting clean, document data lineage, and design backups that hold up under a state inspection.

AI workflows go through enterprise-grade providers (Anthropic Claude for Business, OpenAI Team and Enterprise) so client data isn't used for model training. We scope what AI can see, where it can write, and how it logs activity, before any prompt leaves your environment.

Why Small Businesses Choose Launch

Four reasons clients keep us on retainer after the first project ships.

AI-Fluent by Default

We don't just talk about AI, we build with it daily. Claude, Claude Code, and Codex are part of how Launch ships work. That fluency carries into every recommendation we make for clients.

Vendor-Neutral

No kickbacks shaping our recommendations. We pick what fits your operation, not what pays us a commission. If we use a referral link, you'll know it.

Implementation, Not Decks

We don't write 60-page strategy documents and walk away. We set up the tools, write the automations, run the trainings, and stick around for support.

Industry Depth

Cannabis, food service, and government-adjacent verticals each have their own tech edge cases. We've shipped in all of them and know where the landmines are.

Frequently Asked

Technology Service FAQ

What does technology consulting cost?

It depends on scope. A focused tech audit starts around $2,500. Ongoing automation and integration retainers typically run $1,500 to $5,000 per month, depending on tool count and complexity. We give a fixed-fee quote after a free 30-minute discovery call. No long-term lock-in.

Do I have to switch to the tools you recommend?

No. We start with what you already have. If a tool is working, we keep it and make it work harder. We only recommend a switch when the math (time saved, dollars saved, or risk reduced) clearly justifies the migration.

Can you work with the systems we already use?

Yes. We're vendor-neutral and have hands-on experience with 60+ business platforms. If you're on QuickBooks, Gusto, HubSpot, ClickUp, or any mainstream stack, we can plug in and start optimizing without ripping anything out.

How long does implementation take?

Quick wins (a single integration, a Calendly setup, a Zapier flow) ship in days. A full stack rebuild for a 10-to-50-person company typically runs 60 to 120 days, broken into weekly milestones so you see progress, not just invoices.

Do you train our team, or just set things up?

Both. Adoption is the goal, not deployment. Every project includes live training sessions, recorded walkthroughs, written SOPs, and a 30-day support window so questions get answered before they become workarounds.

What about ongoing support after launch?

Most clients move to a monthly retainer for tweaks, new integrations, training new hires, and the inevitable 'something broke' moments. Retainers are month-to-month, no annual contract.

Do you write custom code?

Yes, when no off-the-shelf tool fits. We build lightweight internal tools, edge functions, scheduled jobs, and custom integrations using modern stacks (Next.js, Supabase, Vercel, Claude Code). Always documented, always handed off.

How do you handle data security and compliance?

We follow least-privilege access, store credentials in vaults (1Password, Doppler), enforce SSO and 2FA wherever vendors support it, and document every system touch. For HIPAA-adjacent or PII-heavy workflows, we use BAA-eligible vendors and design retention policies accordingly.

Can you help with AI without leaking client data?

Yes. We design AI workflows that use enterprise-grade providers (Anthropic Claude for Business, OpenAI Team and Enterprise plans), scope data access carefully, and avoid training-on-data pitfalls. We've helped service businesses adopt AI without breaking client confidentiality.

Where are you based and do you work remotely?

Launch Industries is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, with consultants across the US. We serve clients nationwide and conduct most engagements remotely, with on-site visits available for larger Pacific Northwest engagements.
